Mahón

Mahón is Menorca’s capital.  This natural harbour was the target of many foreign invasions because of its importance as a commercial centre. There are a lot of places of interest in Mahón. You can wander through the city centre to visit the Museum, the bastion of Sant Roc or the Church of Santa Maria. Close to Mahon are found the Albufera of Grau and Lighthouse Favaritz whose lovely relief can be admired from the sea. 

Es Grao

Es Grao is a charming coastal area located in the northeastern part of Menorca, known for its picturesque harbour and stunning natural beauty. This vibrant destination combines a relaxed atmosphere with a rich maritime heritage, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. We can enjoy leisurely strolls along the scenic waterfront. The nearby beaches offer soft sands and crystal-clear waters, ideal for sunbathing and swimming. Fornells

Weather

In July, Menorca experiences hot and sunny weather, perfect for summer activities. Average daytime temperatures soar between 28°C and 32°C (82°F to 90°F), while nighttime lows remain mild, around 20°C to 23°C (68°F to 73°F). The island enjoys approximately 11-12 hours of sunshine daily with minimal rainfall, typically less than 10 mm for the month. Humidity levels are moderate, ranging from 55% to 75%, making it feel warm but comfortable. The sea temperature rises to a pleasant 24°C to 26°C (75°F to 79°F), ideal for swimming and water sports. Overall, July offers beautiful weather for outdoor adventures and beach relaxation.

Sailing Conditions

In July, Menorca experiences predominantly favorable sailing winds, with gentle breezes averaging 10 to 15 knots. Not included in the sailing event price are:  flights, transfers,  personal insurance, victualling, meals ashore, diesel, water, mooring fees, the “Service Pack” and any personal expenditure.

Mandatory extras:

Service Pack (End Cleaning) 225€ per boat

The Club’s standard terms and conditions apply.  In summary:

  • Paying your deposit commits you to the trip and to paying all payments as and when required.
  • If you withdraw from an event you are still liable for the full cost unless a replacement participant is found.
  • If a replacement is found there will be an admin charge made for the change of participant.
  • You agree to bear the shared cost of any security deposit loss levied by the charter company for loss or damages.

The full cost of the deposit is 3,000€ per boat.

Direct return flights to Mahón are available with Easyjet from Gatwick and Luton.  

Do not book flights until advised to do so by the event organisers.
