10th Anniversary Sunset Cruise

Join us on our 10th Anniversary Bash
To celebrate 10 years since we formed Sundowners Yacht Club we thought we would celebrate in style with a sunset cruise on the River Thames. We have booked the boat Golden Sunrise for the evening which we have renamed SUNDOWNERS for the event (see picture above!)
Boarding
Boarding will be from 6:45 pm from Temple Pier (which is a 1 minute walk from Temple Underground Station. Once you have shown your boarding pass you will be welcomed on board with a glass of Prosecco.
The Cruise
Casting off at 7:00 pm (Latecomers will have to swim to catch up!) we will cruise under Tower Bridge and head down to Greenwich and the Thames Barrier. There should be great views of the O2, Canary Wharf, the Cutty Sark and many other places of interest on our cruise.
Food
The price of the cruise includes a 2 course meal which will be a BBQ with the following choices:.
- Aberdeen Angus quarter pounder beef burger in a brioche bun.
- Cumberland sausages with onion in hotdog rolls
- Lamb chops & cutlets cooked in a mint marinade
- Salmon fillet with a teriyaki glaze
- Piri Piri chicken kebabs
- Vegetarian/vegan platter, burgers, sausages & kofta (on request)
- Chargrilled halloumi
- Mixed leaf salad with tomato, onion and peppers with a herb dressing
- Greek Salad, a mix of Feta, Cucumber, Tomato, Red Onion & Olives tossed in an olive oil dressing
- Roasted vegetable cous cous
- Creamy apple coleslaw
- New potato salad
- Cheese slices, sauces & salad dressings
Drinks
There is a cash bar on board (they do take cards) which are at standard London prices.
Do not take any alcohol on board with you as this is against their liquor license.
The Boat
The boat has two indoor decks as well as a large outdoor area to admire the sights from. There will be music throughout the cruise so if you fancy a bop you can get down on the wooden dance floor.

Arrival Back at Temple Pier: 10:45 pm on Sat 27 September 2025
Disembark: By 11:00 pm
The price for the event is £50.00 which includes the cruise, music, a welcome glass of Prosecco and a 2 course meal.
The event is open to members of Sundowners Yacht Club and their family and friends so bring them all along.
Sundowners have heavily subsidised this event which normally costs £90 so please support us in our anniversary year.
The event is aimed at adults only but older teenager family members will be considered on a case by case basis.
