A new adventure for Sundowners. Pula is situated towards the north of Croatia and is the Istria Peninsula’s largest city situated in the valley of seven hills, with extraordinary Adriatic views. Narrow cobbled streets, magnificent Roman buildings and an enormous amphitheatre notable as the only remaining Roman amphitheatre in the world with a complete circle wall.

Brijuni National Park

Brijuni National Park consists of 14 stunning islands. The largest island is Veli Brijun which has a small marina to spend the night in. Surround Veli Brijun, is a unique landscape of green islands cropping out from the sea which once served as a summer residence of the Yugoslavian leader Tito. The park is full of cycling and walking paths, as well as Roman ruins.

Premuda

As we approach the rugged island of Premuda we will be greeted by the historic chapel of San Ciriaco as well as a small traditional Croatian tavern. y  Brijuni National Park consists of 14 stunning islands. Weather

The islands enjoy dry and hot summers which average 25°C in July with 12 hours of sunshine a day.

The dominant wind during the summer is maestral (north-westerner) with winds from Beaufort 4 to 6.  However The bura (north-easterner) is a strong wind which can affect the region.  The saying goes “If the bura is blowing you don’t sail!”

Pula – Croatia 2022 Sailing Week

Embarkation in Pula:  Sat 20 August 2022

Set Sail: 1000 on Sun 21 August 2022

Arrival Back in Pula: 1700 on Fri 26 August 2022

Disembarkation: 0900 on Sat 27 August 2022

The member price of the trip for the yacht charter is £520.

Not included in the event price are flights, transfers, accommodation ashore if needed, personal insurance, victualling, meals ashore, diesel, water, mooring fees, transit log, service pack, end cleaning and any personal expenditure.

The Club’s standard terms and conditions apply.  In summary:

  • Paying your deposit commits you to the trip and to paying all payments as and when required.
  • If you withdraw from an event you are still liable for the full cost unless a replacement participant is found.
  • If a replacement is found there will be an admin charge made for the change of participant.
  • You agree to bear the shared cost of any security deposit loss levied by the charter company for damages.

Additionally you should be aware of the Club’s Covid Policy and the requirements for participation in the event.

The full cost of the deposit is £1500 – £2500 per boat.

Flights

Return flights to Pula are available from London for approx £250 including a 23kg bag.

Do not book flights until advised to do so by the event organiser.
