Barcelona To/From Palafrugel (5 day)

Costa Brava is undoubtedly the most beautiful coast of the Spanish Mediterranean coastlines, and its easy access from Barcelona makes it an ideal destination for water sports and activities. There are numerous coves along the coast you can choose from to explore; recommendtiona always include: Castell cove, Medas Islands, Calella, Sa Aigua Blava, Sa Tuna and Sa Riera.

the first stop will be in the Futadera cove, located between two beautiful sea villages: Tossa del Mar and Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Awe-inspiring and romantic touches make Tossa del Mar a beautiful stopover, especially as its sandy seabed and wind-free coast allows for a tranquil anchorage.

 

Itinerary

Arenys De Mar

Arenys de Mar, only a few kilometres away from Barcelona, exceptionally combines its artistic heritage with its beautiful beaches and many recreational activities. Its privileged location has made it an important fishing town since ancient times, as evidenced by the district that marks its origins: the 14th-century fisherman’s quarter.

Canyelles (Lloret De Mar)

Lloret de Mar, a town on the Costa Brava in Spain’s Catalonia region, is known for its Mediterranean beaches. The medieval hilltop Castle of Sant Joan, to the east, offers views over the area, while the central Iglesia de Sant Romà church provides examples of both Catalan Gothic and modernist architecture.

St Feliu De Guixol

While not recommended for anchorage, Sant Feliu is a glamourous village and its port certainly deserves mooring here to explore the sea front, should you rent a boat for a week.

Palafrugel

Calella de Palafrugell is an attractive resort, well known for its various rocky coves, sandy beaches and excellent fish restaurants.

Cadaques

The beautiful fishing village of Cadaqués is sometimes referred to as an island on the coast. That is because it is relatively protected from mass tourism by a long, winding road through the mountains of Cap de Creus.

Roses

The town is particularly popular for its splendid beaches, and loved for its unique location: it is the only beach resort facing west, which means tourists and locals alike get to enjoy fantastic sunsets across the Gulf of Roses.

Important Trip Information

The member price of the trip for the yacht charter is:

Not included in the event price are flights, transfers, personal insurance, victualling, meals ashore, diesel, water, mooring fees and any personal expenditure.

The payment schedule is as follows:

The Club’s standard terms and conditions apply. Full details can be found here but in summary:

• Paying your deposit commits you to the trip and to paying all payments as and when required.
• If you withdraw from an event you are still liable for the full cost unless a replacement participant is found.
• If a replacement is found there will be an admin charge made for the change of participant.
• You agree to bear the shared cost of any security deposit loss levied by the charter company for damages.
• The full cost of the deposit is 2000 Euros per boat.

Flights

Return flights to Barcelona are available from London airports for approx £140. Some special deals from time to time can be as low as £40.
Do not book flights until advised to do so by the event organiser.

Non-members may enquire about booking, plus a £25 membership free by using the form below. For your booking to be confirmed you must be approved as a member. All attendees must be members of the club at the time of the event.
