Club Rally & Bembridge Harbour Party
Fri 2nd August – Sun 4th August 2019

With the warm weather hopefully now pushing the recent cold spell away it’s time to get some UK sailing in the diary

We were considering organising a barbeque in August and Bembridge was to be the venue. But when we spoke to the nice people at Bembridge Harbour to reserve some space they insisted on organising an event in honour of our visit (and for a few other people too! )

So we will be attending the Harbour Party at Duver Marina in Bembridge Harbour on 3^rd August. There will be food available, a BBQ, a DJ and live music from The Accelerators …..a local band.

And there will even be some SAILING …………………..

roughly where the red line is below  but subject to weather and tides…………….we will explore the East Solent

This is the plan:

Friday 2nd August – Arrive at boats in Southampton or Hamble and stay overnight on board

Saturday 3rd August – Set off after an early breakfast and sail around the Central and East Solent areas before heading to Bembridge Harbour mid afternoon.

Saturday evening will be onshore at the Harbour Party and BBQ

Sunday 4th August – Time for a full breakfast or possibly a bit of local exploring then leave Bembridge around the middle of the day for a leisurely sail back to base, clear the boats and head for home

(NB-by arrangement there may be an opportunity to stay on board some of the boats on Sunday night and leave Monday morning )
